A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

QuickRace is a racing game prototype where two players play on a local network. The race takes place on an 8-shaped track, and the goal is to complete three laps as fast as possible. How fast can you drive?

Install instructions

To play, you need to download the game client for windows and the linux server. This game is meant to be played on a LAN on Windows (clients) and Linux (server).

Linux Game Server

OS: Ubuntu 22.04 x64.
Unpack the contents and run the script QuickRaceServer.sh. Make sure to open port 7777 on the server.

Windows Client

OS: Windows 11.
Unpack the contents and run the executable. Enter the IP of the Game server and join a race. The race will start when two players connect.

Controls

W (forward) A (left) S (reverse) D (right)
